The goal this summer is to have an outing a day because, well, a busy 3 year old is a happy 3 year old. And a happy 3 year old makes the whole family happy. Money is tight (blah, blah, what else is new) and so we are on the lookout for fun, free (or at least super cheap), and local activities. We are taking advantage of the time off and the great weather to explore as many parks, playgrounds, museums, and children's activities as we can this summer.
This week we visited the children's "show" at Bella Terra, the lake, the library and Atlantis park. We spent every afternoon in the pool and had a dinner "picnic" every night. I even got in a few hours by myself to run errands and maybe slip in a pedicure while Rosa was here on Tuesday. The days have flown by and have been full of sun and plenty of water. Everyone is enjoying taking things a little more slowly and discovering new adventures- just what summer is all about.
